There’s a wide range of resources you can use for branding your business, but few are as effective as content marketing. Content marketing boosts brand visibility and engages with customers. However, a large part of this depends on striking graphics that will catch peoples eye.

This is true across all platforms, with whatever marketing techniques you rely on. Good graphics speak a thousand words.

To many, business imagery seems like unnecessary expense that does little but take up space online. We’re keen to teach you exactly why a picture really does say a thousand words and why goos graphics are key for growing your business.

Leave the pen down, pick up the camera!

Very few consumers actually want to read a wall of text. In fact, if it was me, I’d be more inclined to skip through until something a lot more interesting catches my eye. Visually, text isn’t appealing and when you’re producing and publishing content, images serve to break up massive chunks of writing. This means that images not only support your text visually but they also ensure that your point is actually made.

Never underestimate SEO

Content marketing is a fantastic tool to boost SEO value and better your ranking on Google results pages. Whilst you can utilise search engine optimisation by using keywords, internal links and other text-based methods, pictures are the secret weapon.

Simply by associating some text with an image, you can increase the likelihood that Google and similar sites will place your page near the top of its results. You don’t have to go above and beyond to optimize your graphics just copy and paste the blog title or some relevant text to catch Google’s eye.

We hate to break it to you…

Customers don’t read all the text. Sorry to break it to you. As we mentioned before, as consumers we tend to gloss over text to find something interesting.

Pictures can combat this by adding value and being an eye-catching gem of relevance to hone in on the text.

there just has to be something on a page that catches a customer’s attention and stays with him or her for an extended period.

This strategy will differentiate your content from your competitors. Unique photos and imagery give your brand a personality, which will help your customers engage with your business.

So you’ve decided to listen to us and include imagery in your social media posts. We hate to break it to you though, you can just pick them off Google – they’re all subject to copyright. This is why we turn to stock imagery. This is the quickest and easiest solution, gain access to thousands of photos that can be used free of charge.

However, these pictures are generic and don’t have a great deal of personality. If you’re up to invest some cash into your business we highly recommend a photoshoot, as you’ll reap the benefits tenfold.

If you’d like to know more about imagery for your business and how to create a content strategy which aligns with stunning imagery, get in touch via our website or Instagram – we’d love to hear from you!
