The end of the year looms closer and it’s time for a yearly review! Even for Google. The famous search engine has revealed the most searched terms during the 2019, and there are few surprising inclusions in the results for the UK.

 

UK 2019 top searches by Google

Rugby World Cup’ has topped the overall top trending query, followed by ‘Cricket World Cup’ – competitions where England came, respectively, second and first. TV shows also featured prominently: the controversial final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ got the bronze medal in this list, followed by the HBO’s acclaimed nuclear-drama ‘Chernobyl’. Good results also for Movie searches, as ‘Thanos’ (5th) and ‘Joker’ (10th) enter the top ten.
