James Scullion, founder of Rapid Agency, has been awarded the title of Best Young Person in Business at the highly coveted Ballymena Back to Business Awards.

Rapid Agency was also recognised as runners up in the Business Growth and Best use of Digital Media categories, at Tuesday’s lunch ceremony held at the Tullyglass Hotel, organised and hosted by Ballymena Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Ballymena-born James founded Rapid Agency when he was just 25 years old, and recently celebrated five successful years in business, growth of 300 per cent in sales in 2020 (compared to the same period in 2019), trebling in team size, and the hiring of two new staff.

Rapid Agency specialises in bespoke website design, social media management and advertising, digital marketing training and search engine optimisation (SEO).

James Scullion, founder of Rapid Agency said: “Today has been an absolutely brilliant day, marking the highs and the lows of the last year with both our team and peers, and celebrating how far we have come as a business.

“It has been a challenging 18 months in so many ways, but we have been very fortunate that Northern Ireland businesses have embraced digital technology and have used it as a tool to grow and pivot their businesses and reach new markets, sometimes going from local to global.

“We have honed our skills, are continuously learning new mediums and platforms to help showcase our client’s expertise and excellence and getting some fantastic results.

“To be back in the room with and be networking with some of the best businesses in Northern Ireland, in my home town of Ballymena is fantastic – and to hear inspirational stories and how other industries have overcome challenges has been very motivating.”

James concluded: “To be recognised amongst the best young business people in Ballymena is so very humbling and something I am very grateful for. I would like to congratulate all the other finalists and winners and the fantastic businesses and people who live and work here.”
