The Brief 

Raffery’s came to us for a full rebrand as their previous branding didn’t reflect their clientele. They emphasised how they wanted to appeal to high-end hospitality clients while feeling approachable to smaller clients who still wanted that unique element to their interiors. They wanted to give a nod to their Irish heritage through their brand while becoming more recognisable and generating more brand awareness.

The Brand 

As part of the brand, we wanted to convey the feeling that Rafferty’s doesn’t just craft furniture that fills a space, but that it is truly a part of life’s special moments. We created a new custom logo and submarks for the Rafferty’s brand to ensure brand recognition and adaptability across platforms.

We wanted to embrace a high-end aesthetic, inspired by the spaces that Rafferty’s furniture inhabits, such as luxury hotels and bars. The new Rafferty’s identity balances heritage and modernity, ensuring a timeless yet contemporary appeal.

We carefully chose the typefaces to convey tradition, warmth and trust, creating a visual language which is both premium and approachable to connect to their target audience. The clean and elegant logo and typeface takes inspiration from the precision and craftsmanship behind each piece of furniture, reflecting the quality of Rafferty’s pieces.

A brand pattern was created for Rafferty’s that reflected the core values of craftsmanship, quality and bespoke design. We chose geometric shapes which gave the impression that the viewer was looking at a close-up of furniture, mirroring Rafferty’s meticulous attention to detail.

Overall, the brand reflects that Raffertys is as much about legacy as it is about innovation, balancing a timeless yet modern feel. This allows the brand to connect to their target audience of high-end hospitality clients while still feeling approachable to smaller organisations.
