New year, new technological advancements to be made… But it’s also a new decade! The roaring 20s have just arrived and many of us are looking forward to a decade that promises many innovations in technology (from AI to job automation) that will surely change our lives. But there are also many nostalgics that, before going ahead, first want to look back at for the last time and draw conclusions about what happened in the last ten years. Just before the end of last year we shared the UK top 2019 Google searches, and now we do the same for the top Google searches of every year of the last decade. This time we are not focussing on the top UK searches, but the Worldwide top Google trends of the 10s.

Worldwide Google trends of the 10s

While many top trends are related to sports – as World Cup and India vs South Africa dominate the last couple of years – others link with technology: do you remember the hype around Chatroulette (2010) or the evergreen PokemonGo (2016)?
